Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Development of new and enhancement
of existing capabilities. More specifically, the focus will be on
strengthening linkage based capabilities which are essential to identifying
Bust-Out Rings/Networks. Leveraging these capabilities, the candidate
will be required to develop and implement controls spanning the customer
life-cycle (from new accounts to cancellation) to minimize the risk
from Bust-Outs and Abusers.
2. Gain an in depth understanding of the CBO/Credit Abuse problem
and leverage this understanding to identify new segments / opportunities.
The candidate will be expected to come up the learning curve rapidly
and start contributing to the team strategically by giving direction
to the CBO/Credit Abuse process.
3. Develop and maintain key MIS. MIS forms a key element of the CBO/Credit
Abuse process. The MIS is used for tracking losses and for identifying
trends. The candidate will be expected to maintain these MIS, develop
new MIS, use them to identify trends / out-of-pattern activity and
make enhancements.
Candidate Profile:
1. Master’s in Statistics, Mathematics
/ Computer Sc or MBA with a strong aptitude for Statistics
2. 1 – 3 yrs of work experience (preferably
in a relevant field)
3. Experience in web-based analytics / data mining is a plus
4. Knowledge of SAS/Java/Python is preferred
5. Excellent quantitative/analytical skills
6. The successful candidate should be innovative and resourceful
7. Knowledge of finance industry and the card businesses is a plus
