Job Description
As a part of the VMware License Compliance
Team, the License Compliance Support Analyst will focus primarily
on preparation of Software License compliance models of VMware customers.
This is a mission critical role where quality and accuracy of deliverables
is of paramount importance. This dynamic role also is responsible
for supporting the extended global License Compliance Team in all
aspects of software license reviews as needed. Acute attention to
detail, flexibility and exceptional problem solving and organizational
skills are required. Desire and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced
environment is required to be successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
1. Build Customer Entitlement Models and Entitlement
Summaries for use in software licensing audits
2. Conduct thorough analysis of the Entitlement Model and summarize
data points critical to understanding customer purchasing history
3. Research customer entitlement issues and follow them to resolution.
4. Work with Engagement Managers on ad-hoc requests and analysis.
5. Search for and export customer agreements from the contract management
system.
6. Analyze customer contracts and interpret basic contractual terms
7. Prepare and maintain customer profiles in SharePoint
8. Maintain a playbook with updated processes
9. Maintain internal License Compliance SharePoint sites
10. Update and maintain key dashboards
11. Other projects as necessary
Candidate Profile:
1. A fresher CA or Bachelors in Business Administration,
Finance, Law or Accounting preferred (other majors OK with requisite
experience)
2. Experience working in a License Compliance / Accounting / Finance
or Sales are preferred
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience acting as an analyst or equivalent
role in case of not being a CA
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
5. Proficiency using Oracle Service Contracts and Install Base modules,
MS Office skills
6. Exceptional organizational and time management skills
7. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
8. Experience performing basic commercial contract analysis is preferred
9. Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment
