Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the Design, Development &
Validation of SCADA product and its Real-time, Historical and HMI
components and associated applications and productivity tools.
2. Working independently and be part of a team that builds and integrates
interactive SCADA application for GE.
3. Design & develop Web applications or any other SCADA application
modules and perform developer level testing and provide necessary
documentation
4. Enhancing and modifying product with changing requirements to ensure
the best experience for the user.
5. Should work with multiple stakeholders and provide resolution to
Filed issues on the product in a timely manner.
6. Own the build and release management activities for the modules/
product.
7. Strong adherence to SDLC, Process and quality for the product and
deliverables.
Candidate Profile:
1. MS/BS (Engineering) in Electronics/ Instrumentation/
Electrical/ Power Systems with strong academic credentials.
2. Experience with any two or more of the following
3. Dot Net, VC++, C/C++,
4. HTML/XHTML and CSS, advanced JavaScript and object orientation
using JavaScript
5. Hands on with relational database systems (RDBMS) using MSSQL or
Oracle and a good working knowledge of PL-SQL/T-SQL
6. Experience with web services using Microsoft AJAX using SOAP interactions
and Web programming experience on ASP.NET and Silverlight would be
added advantage
7. Strong experience in architecting web applications, Web services,
design data-driven applications, Windows services, client-server solutions
and Strong Data base development knowledge.
8. An in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle
and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions.
9. Development experience using Visual Studio, Silverlight, Dream
Weaver
10. Strong Multi-Tasking and proactive and open approach to conflict
resolution
11. Good analytical and learning skills
12. Good written and verbal communication skills
Desired Characteristics:
1. SCADA Software/firmware development experience
2. Industrial Automation
3. Electrical Power distribution networks.
4. Usage of Emulators/ Simulators/ Static Analysis tools
5. Project Management
6. Six sigma GB/ Reliability knowledge
7. Knowledge of Delphi or Visual Basis would be an added advantage
8. Experience with setting up and maintaining test beds and test setups
9. Experience with Communication Protocols – Modbus, OPC, SNMP,
DNP
10. Experience working with a global team.
