Job Description:
The Global Accounting Operations Department
is responsible for core account reconciliations, general ledger
transactions, validation of key controls, financial reporting,
analytics and ongoing client support services in a wide variety
of finance and accounting areas. The longer-term vision for
this team is to flawlessly demonstrate core accounting competencies
and evolve into a global accounting and control Center of
Excellent (COE) for General Mills.
Accountabilities
1. Key accountability to support internal
accounting and reporting processes
Become account operations process expert: accurately reconcile
accounts and post journal entries
2. Utilize custom and ad hoc reports to assist other teams
in managing accounts, collections and reporting
3. Establish client partnership and collaborate on process
improvement ideas and action plans
4. Utilize available data to identify, communicate and address
risk areas
Insure strong, clear process documentation is in place and
utilized
