Job Description:
The Associate Software Engineer is accountable
for all activities associated with application Support and Development,
Customer consultation regarding support issues of application, and
systems for NAYS and partnered business units. The Specialist is responsible
for the support of Managed Services solutions that include system
procedure initiatives, support of those initiatives once deployed,
providing Customer consultation on how those systems can best support
business changes, and driving systems changes as appropriate. This
individual is also responsible for contributing to incident reduction
to improve profitability for NCR and customer availability.. Successful
delivery is defined as meeting or exceeding stakeholder needs and
expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Application Support and Maintenance, meeting
the defined SLAs
2. Application Development on new requirement and code fixes
3. Testing Process exposure
4. Good Team Player
5. Communicate well across support teams (Other Application Support
Teams)
6. Identifying and Documenting root cause analysis
7. Consult with technical subject matter experts and recommend alternative
technical solutions when applicable.
8. Develop complete understanding of applications Supported and Maintained.
9. Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve systems
and process efficiencies.
Skill Requirements:
1. B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA
or an equivalent education.
2. 6 months to 1 years hands on experience Supporting & Maintaining
Java based Web Applications
3. Hands on experience developing Java based applications
4. Proficiency with Core Java, Multithreading, Advanced Java ,Servlets,
JDBC, JSPs, JMS, XML, PL/SQL,UNIX
5. Prior experience of working on interfacing Applications in a Multi
network/Server environment.
6. Prior experience in providing Platinum Critical Support SLA's and
Ensuring Uptime of Systems through Proactive Monitoring Preferred
Requirements
7. Good to Have skills – XSLT, JMS, Tomcat 7.0, Unix development
experience,
8. Strong technical background, knowledge and understanding of Multithreaded
applications
9. Prior work experienced in application support and Maintenance of
web based applications preferred.
10. Strong teamwork and Ownership skills
