Job Description:

1. Audio algorithm complexity analysis and feasibility study of new audio features development on STB platform
2. Communication with various teams to understand the exact audio requirements from system point of view
3. Knowledge about various existing and emerging audio standards on different platforms
4. Audio modules design and development to make it highly modular, portable, scalable and able to optimize on different platform
5. Interaction with various customers and other teams to resolve any audio related issue on chip
6. Knowledge about data structures definition and memory optimization techniques to fit it within the required memory on chip
7. Knowledge about float to fixed point format conversion of complex audio tools to meet desired precision requirement
8. Knowledge of general DSP architecture and key optimization techniques on typical processor


Candidate Profile:

1. B.E./B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech/M.S preferable
2. 1 to 5 years in audio domain
3. Should have experience in at least one complete project life-cycle Should have experience in dealing with customers Should have prior experience in debugging system level issue
4. Good Knowledge of C and assembly language programming
5. Good knowledge of any DSP processor architecture
6. Should have taken a course on basics and advanced DSP
7. Should have strong DSP skills in terms of implementation and understanding of core audio algorithms
8. Good technical contribution and innovation in core audio algorithms development
9. Should be good at scripting using Perl/Python or any other scripting language
10. Should have worked on any audio codec development on given platform
11. Should be familiar with any version control system
12. Should possess good verbal/written communication, need to be self-motivated, need to take full ownership of the task
