Job Description:
This is an accelerated development track for
software engineers. The major purpose of the role will be to assimilate
the exposure provided in each job rotation and manage required tasks
for the same. During the rotations the engineer will have the opportunity
to choose various roles like Software development, QA, Continuous
Integration, Agile Scrum master and various other roles that will
be available at the site.
Responsibilities:
Due to the rotational nature of the Program,
the Edison Engineering Development Program can be two to three assignments
in related areas. The rotation assignments are intended to provide
a broad exposure to the engineering field leading to successful off
Program placement. Program membership also requires continuous education
through advanced studies and in-house courses and workshops.
1. Plan and perform assigned tasks within the
framework of areas’ schedules, budget, quality and cost constraints
while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness
2. Demonstrate ability to understand and apply engineering fundamentals
in the business environment
3. Demonstrate analytical / problem solving through number orientation
4. Collaborate with manager in setting realistic and challenging operation
goals
5. Contribute to their accomplishment
6. Propose new analyses, techniques and methodologies with respect
to specific area of responsibility where applicable
Candidate Profile:
1. Bachelor of Science in Engineering
2. At least a 3. GPA on a 4. scale
3. Basic understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing fundamentals
4. Strong oral and written communication skills
5. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
6. High self-confidence
7. Ability to motivate others
8. Demonstrated scholastic achievements
