Job Description:
Amazon.com's Social Media team is looking
for a Software Development Engineer Test to test and develop
automation test framework for scalable software solutions and
services.The team's responsibilities include mining social data
for customers and using it to bootstrap personalization and
recommendations; utilizing the connections to offer a better
shopping experience; and build tools and apps to represent Amazon
in conversations offsite in order to engage with customers and
drive more the site.
Candidate Profile:
1. Experience building test automation
framework, test tools and test strategies for complex systems.
2. Experience developing high quality test plans and test cases
3. Experience with databases, SQL, DHTML/XML and JavaScript
a plus
4. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
& best practices for the full software development life
cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control
management, build processes, testing, and operations
5. Experience developing in a Linux environment
6. Experience with automation test frameworks using Selenium
7. Should be aware of Performance testing and Security testing.
Skills Required:
1. Masters degree or Bachelor's degree
in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical
discipline
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, team player
3. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced
environment
4. Experience with testing methodologies.
5. Experience building and designing test cases.
6. Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language
such as Java, C++ or PERL.
7. 2-5 year experience in manual testing and automation testing
of mobile and web based applications
8. Expertise in data structures, complex algorithms, OOP.
