JOB SUMMARY:
Comapny profile :
TThe Defence Institute of Advanced Technology,
(DIAT) as it is known today, came into being as the Institute of Armament
Studies in 1952 in the CME campus. In 1967, the Institute was renamed
as "Institute of Armament Technology, (IAT)", which moved
to its present location at Girinagar, Pune. From the relatively narrow
scope of Armament Studies alone in the Fifties, the role of the Institute
was considerably enlarged by the Defence R&D Council in 1964 and
further in 1981. On the basis of accreditation by the All India Council
of Technical Education (AICTE), Pune University recognised eight courses
for the award of ME degree in 1980. In the year 2000, the Institute
acquired the status of a Deemed University. IAT has been renamed as
DIAT w.e.f. 1st April 2006.
Job Description:
1. A „Walk-in-Interview’ will be
held at this Institute on 25th April 2014 at 1000 Hrs for selection
of suitable/eligible candidates for 3 positions of Project Assistant,
under the below mentioned projects.
2. “Development of Methodology for optical
device Applications in dentistry & optical limiters using Nanomaterials”.
(Biosciences & Technology discipline & Applied Physics discipline)
Sustained Drug releasing hydrogel nanoparticles
for bacterial eye infections”
(Biosciences & Technology discipline)
3. The details/eligibility conditions for selection
of 2 Project Assistants under Project – A mentioned above are
given hereunder. :-

Educational Qualifications : Masters Degree M.Sc.
in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biosciences/in the field
of Life Sciences Or M. Tech in subjects mentioned above.
Desirable: Candidates with experience in handling
microbial cultures/Cell Culture and biochemical analyasis will be
desirable.
Salary: Rs.12000/- per month
4. The details/eligibility conditions for selection
of 1 Project Assistant under Project – B mentioned above are
given hereunder:

Educational Qualifications : Masters Degree M.Sc
in Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or allied Life Sciences
OR M. Tech in the above mentioned subjects
Desirable: Experience in handling microorganism and
expertise with animal cell culture techniques
Salary: Rs.12000/- per month
Candidate Profile:
1. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions
for Project Assistant as mentioned in Para (1) above, may attend the
‘Walk-in-Interview’ at this Institute on
25th April 2014 at 1000 Hrs, along-with their original Certificates
/Testimonials etc (together with a set of attested copies of each)
for detailed scrutiny. Candidates working in Government/Public Sector
Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should produce a „No Objection
Certificate? from the present employer. No TA will be paid for attending
the ‘Walk-in-Interview’.

may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on the
Fellows any right for absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune. It may be terminated
