Job Description:
Enterprise Model Validation Group (EMVG) within
Global Risk Oversight Group, is responsible for the independent validation
of all AXP models. It manages and controls model risk in order to
elevate model excellence, strengthen long term Shareholder value and
satisfy Regulatory expectations. The successful candidate will be
responsible for independently validating a suite of Individual for
the Company's consumer and small businesses portfolios across the
globe. Individuals will closely work with geographically diverse business
units, regulators amongst others. The position offers the individual
a unique opportunity in terms of

2. Exposure to existing risk management practices across the entire
customer life cycle
3. Broadening of one's skill set by exposure to a broad range of risk
management tools and techniques
Responsibilities:
1. Validating all types of models (Risk, Fraud,
Acquisition, Digital etc.) which includes evaluating conceptual soundness,
data, methodology, performance validation and on-going monitoring.
2. Maintaining model inventory
3. Documenting detailed model validation report and preparing for
the regular regulatory and internal audit reviews.
4. Tracking the validation findings and reviewing the resolution of
these findings.
5. Communicating the validation results to partners, senior leadership
and various model committees.
6. Conducting in-depth research to enhance model validation process
and techniques.
Candidate Profile:
1. Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics,
Economics, Engineering or related fields.
2. 0-2 Year Experience
3. Hands-on model building or validation experience.
4. Strong Analytical and Relationship and project management skills
for driving validation initiatives.
5. Experience in applying advanced statistical and/or quantitative
techniques to solve business problems is preferred.
6. Strong Verbal, Written, Interpersonal skills and ability to work
effectively in a team environment.
7. Willingness to Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams to drive
validation and Project Execution.
8. Effectively communicating complex Analytical results to Business
Partners and Senior Management.
9. Flexibility and Adaptability to work within tight deadlines and
changing priorities.
10. Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS, SQL) is a must
have. Familiarity with Big Data environments preferred.
