Job Description:
1. Preparation of technology roadmaps and demonstration of features
2. Responsible for delivery of Car architecture balancing Scalability, Functionality, Cost, Quality, time, Size, Weight, Harness metrics, Q current, Network bus load, signal latencies, Engine Control Unit memory and aggregate commonality.
3. The main deliverables include:
a. Function partitioning and allocation, ECU definitions
b. Network topology, busload and signal latencies
c. Detailed Circuit schematics and Wire harness topology
Integration support, trouble shooting on prototypes and production vehicles
4. Evaluate proposals and provide technical recommendation for concept selection
5. Analyzing system interfaces, audit and reviewing of product hardware and software design activities
6. Support activities like Benchmarking, Warranty Analysis and Cost Reduction need to be performed
7. Function Realization for the Systems on the vehicle for Powertrain and Chassis Electricals - Electronic Park Brake, Automatic braking systems, Electronic Power Steering Systems, EMS, Automatic Transmission and Immobilizers
8. Hardware development and interface verification for distributed functions
9. Work with CANalyser for validation of signals to support beta vehicle manufacturing
10. Signal Packaging for the Powertrain, Body Electricals and Starting Charging Systems
11. Work on PREEvision application for Function and Electric Designer
12. Handle the E/E Architecture for various vehicle platforms and lead Architecture Projects with world-wide teams
Candidate Profile:
1. Automotive communication and Diagnostic protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS etc), and usage of communication and diagnostic tools. (Network designer, CANoe, Indigo etc)
2. Hardware development process, interfaces, schematic capture and simulation tools preferred (e.g. ORCAD and PSpice)
3. Vehicle Schematic design tools and Wire harness tools preferred (e.g. Vesys, Mentor Graphics Capital Logic etc)
4. Software architecture (eg. AUTOSAR), development process [SPICE], methods and tools involved
5. Awareness to architecture development tool, PREEVISION, would be added advantage
