the network infrastructure, servers, desktops, and mobile

performance, and best user experience in the marketplace.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Working as part of a highly skilled,
globally distributed team focused on building solutions to
ensure the quality of Antivirus content.
2. Responsible for development, maintenance and improvement
of large scale harvesting systems
3. Create tools to aid in the analysis of data collected through
the large scale harvesting systems
4. Coding mission critical, large scale automated web harvesting
systems using multiple languages and technologies (Primarily
Python/Java/MySQL).
5. Understanding Symantec technologies in-depth.
6. Root cause analysis & process engineering - developing,
maintaining and auditing QA processes.
7. Contributing to team projects and demonstrating responsibility
for deadlines.
8. Contribute possible out of hours/weekend/public holiday
cover as required
Candidate Profile:
1. Educated to Bachelor’s Degree
Level or equivalent in a computer science-related field
2. QA-centric attitude, we need people who are passionate
about quality.
3. Proven track record within a QA, Backline Technical Support
or Engineering function.
4. Good knowledge of operating systems – primarily Windows,
though experience with Linux/Android advantageous.
5. Good knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP.
6. Experience with Python (Intermediate level)
7. Basic experience with databases preferably MySQL
8. An understanding of networking and any previous web crawling
skills is a big plus.
9. Android mobile Reverse Engineer/Development experience(
with tools like ADB etc) will be a plus
10. Java programming experience will be a plus
11. Six sigma certification would be advantageous.
