Job Description:
Under direct supervision, this role is responsible
for providing ongoing business and technical support for the Business
Systems team. Assist in the development of training and change management
materials. May be entry level position with opportunity to develop
professionally.
Responsibilities:
1. Basic SQL and RDBMS/Database knowledge (Develop,
Deploy and Manage)
2. Must have experience of working on Excel, MS Projects, and SharePoint.
3. Familiarity with a wide range of Investment instruments and with
asset management terminology.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and at all levels
internally
5. Numerically competent with strong problem solving and analytical
skills
6. Ability to work flexibly when dealing with varying client requirements/Projects
7. Ability to work within a team environment
8. Good problem solving skill
9. Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
10. Technical knowledge of a specific area in the financial and/or
investment industry usually obtained by experience in related areas
is required to design process improvements and to provide support.
Knowledge of systems and technological capabilities usually obtained
through formal training or experience with PC or mainframe applications
is required to assess automation possibilities. Analytical and communication
skills obtained usually through experience in related jobs or through
formal training in system analysis is required to redesign processes.
Candidate Profile:
1. Interacts with technology, product management,
and operations to understand analyze, interpret and documents business
needs into detailed requirements; recommends solutions to reduce costs
or improve processes or services.
2. Articulates business and functional requirements by developing
specifications for business processing and systems enhancement and
development efforts; provides ongoing business and technical support.
Assist in the development of training and change management materials.
3. Reviews existing systems, processes, and problems and recommends
where system functionality, automation or improved processes can be
implemented.
4. Prepares or modifies business requirements to be used for the development
of functional and systems specifications.
5. Prepares materials and manuals, and provides training to partners
related to system or process changes.
6. Provides business partners with ongoing technical support and acts
as a troubleshooter. Conducts feasibility studies, and defines and
designs system requirements for complex data processing projects.
7. Partner is expected to generate knowledge about the current business
process, design current business flows/requirements, study current
business processes and its complication
8. Understanding GFS client’s business pattern and giving valuable
suggestion and ideas to Business for cost and resource saving benefit.
9. Mapping and gap analysis is done for each project/assignment.
10. Everything configured has to be documented according to their
categories in form of predefined project templates and get the requirement
verified with Manager and discussed with impacted areas and take them
into confidence.
